I'd dial it in at 15.8 and go bracket racing.

Just test & tune. I want faster.

I magine you're bracket racing. And then you break out and lose to a Juke. Man that would hurt.

Hurt in the best way possible.

I wonder if they have a 17.5 bracket. I might have a shot at that one.

You just run your dial in. Staggered start. Ive seen a 18.05 dial in.
Back in the late 80s and 90s there was a old dude that had a late 70ish LtD. He'd dial that thing at 15.75 to 15.8 and he'd be spot on every damn time. I'd hate to run against him cause I'd break out or he'd be closer on the dial. My old Chevelle was faster (12.7 best run) but nowhere near as consistent.

That’s my thinking. I’d probably only run a 17 maybe a 16.5 on an especially good day but I could do that every time.

Try it. It's surprisingly harder than it sounds.

I mean they only made 23 and I bet more than half stayed in Japan

Nice work, looks pretty close to my timeslip with my OBXT the one time I went drag racing. I’ve got at least another 55hp now so I SHOULD be in the 14s, but I haven’t had a chance to get back to the track. I should also add that I heard and felt a pretty big ‘pop’ when launching, but everything seemed to drive fine after. About a week later the car started popping out of 5th gear, then 4th etc. Turns out I broke loose the big nut on the end of the input shaft, and all the gears started shifting around! A new nut and some loc tite fixed that after pulling the transfer case, but that experience has me a little worried about trying it again while I still drive the car to work... On the other hand, the itch to get a better time is just wanting to be scratched
